One of my favourite fiddle tunes that although has the feel of a Cape Breton tune is actually by Irish Fiddle Willie Hunter. It is one of the tunes I use in my online course "Fiddle Techniques for the Violinist" as a reference for applying certain techniques (in this case it is used to discuss bow distribution, but celtic bowing pattern, cuts, and hits tutorials are all useful for this tune). The course is designed for players who have studied primarily classical violin but would like to explore and deepen their understanding of various fiddle techniques and styles. It is of course open to anyone interested in these techniques and styles as well, no matter what their background may be. check it out here: www.serenaeades.com/ecourse
